About Emmaus Retreat Center

Emmaus (ee-MAY'-us) Retreat Center is a non-profit, ecumenical Christian ministry that offers rest, refreshment, and restoration. As an interdenominational ministry, our purpose is to equip fellow believers of Jesus Christ in becoming overcomers in the world today. Through prayer, spiritual formation, and healing, individuals will obtain the peace of God to overcome troubling circumstances that have sought to destroy the joy in their lives. Our desire is to see individuals healed and made whole, serving God with a renewed joy.

Rest — We offer affordable retreat facilities to churches, para church ministries and other non-profit organizations for the purpose of seeking a closer relationship with Christ through quiet and restful surroundings.

Refreshment — Offered for groups and individuals are retreats with one of our spiritual friends/directors or the option of doing your own retreat. Emmaus is a place for you to receive spiritual help through healing prayer as well as attend one of our many conferences for renewal of your body, soul and spirit.

Restoration — Different types of prayer are offered. We have healing prayer available through our SOZO and inner healing ministry; we pray for physical needs and we also teach forms of quiet and contemplative prayer.

Brandon and Sandy Spain set out on this journey of creating a quiet, reflective atmosphere where those seeking a closer walk with the Lord would be able to find it in the peacefulness of retreat.

Brandon who answered a call to ministry in 1995 has a heart for the Kingdom of God and the unity of the Body of Christ. He sees this ecumenical retreat center as an extension of that passion and vision.

In 1998, Sandy's desire of a place for hurting people to find newness of life came after her brokenness in the death of her husband. Her passion is to see others experience this newness of life by spending time away from the hectic ness of the world. She would love the opportunity to pray with you and see joy restored in your life.
