Have you ever had the SAME words repeated over and over to you from different sources? When that happens do you feel like maybe the Lord is trying to make a point!? I know that this has happened to me a number of times in life and each time makes me realize the importance of listening. I remember times when this certain scripture kept turning up over and over in all I read, in conversations with others, and even on items in a store where I shopped. Until recent years I didn’t even realize the meaning of this verse in my own life. I am thankful that God having such patience with me, would repeat these important words for years so that I would not forget! Start listening today… and remember.

I had forgotten how peaceful it is to wake early (4:30 am!) and enjoy the stillness and quiet of the day dawning. I have longed to have this time with the Lord… yet never make it a priority enough to sit here and really hear from the Lord in the newness of a day. I am usually up running, children scurrying, breakfast making, schedule arranging etc. You know?… the same day to day routine of probably most households.

Today’s JESUS CALLING by Sarah Young reads:

THE WORLD IS TOO MUCH WITH YOU, My child. Your mind leaps from problem to problem to problem, tangling your thoughts in anxious knots. When you think like that, you leave Me out of your world-view and your mind becomes darkened. Though I yearn to help, I will not violate your freedom. I stand silently in the background of your mind, waiting for you to remember that I am with you.

When you turn from your problems to My Presence, your load is immediately lighter. Circumstances may not have changed, but we carry your burdens together. Your compulsion to “fix” everything gives way to deep, satisfying connection with Me. Together we can handle whatever this day brings.

Zeph 3:17 The Message

Your God is present among you,
a strong Warrior there to save you.
Happy to have you back, he’ll calm you with his love
and delight you with his songs.

I pray often, and as a busy working mom, I find many times that my prayers are scattered throughout the day. This I have come to learn is wonderful, because it keeps me connected the the Lord throughout my whole day! However, I want more, and if getting up in the stillness of each new day before everyone else is the answer, then I will be getting less sleep!

Dr. Roger W. Sapp was saved in a Youth With A Mission coffeehouse ministry for American soldiers in former West Germany in 1972. For next twenty years his experience of physical healing was unpredictable, unreliable and mysterious. In 1993, he had a breakthrough that changed his understanding of healing by focusing him on Christ as the perfect example of healing ministry. Since that time approximately 20,000 healings, deliverances, and creative miracles have accompanied his ministry. For more than ten years he has been equipping other believers to do Christ-like healing.

He is the author of numerous books, booklets and articles. His most popular books are Performing Miracles and Healing, a comprehensive biblical guide to developing a Christ-like supernatural ministry, Beyond a Shadow of a Doubt, a shorter book dealing with the doubts that block healing and most recently Paid in Full, a radical series of three books on Christ-centered biblical finances. Many have commented that these books were set them free from legalism and they finally began to see continual blessing in their finances.

His background includes the Eagle Scout award earned in his youth. He has served local churches as an elder, assistant pastor and pastor. He has been an Army Artillery officer, a prison, hospital, troop and pastor chaplain. He honorably retired from the U.S. Army in 1993 and was a theology professor for 5 years until he began to travel in ministry. He holds a Bachelor, a Master of Divinity and Doctor of Philosophy degrees.

Many have commented favorably on Dr. Sapp’s relaxed style of ministry. He has been a guest speaker frequently at the Toronto Airport Christian Fellowship. He has appeared as a guest on John & Carol Arnott’s television program. He has been a guest on several national Christian radio programs including Sid Roth’s Messianic Vision. Dr. Sapp presently travels full-time in ministry by invitation of local churches and has spent a considerable amount of time traveling internationally.

Through a divine dream, Dr. Sapp was able to purchase a very large house in Springtown, Texas where he and his wife live. They also frequently hold meetings in this house that they call The Well to network and equip believers to do Christ-like ministry.

Saturday we had a Day of Refreshing at Emmaus Chapel. It was a blessing to all who came. The Lord ministered to us. His presence was heavy in the air as we worshiped and received communion together.
We had 45 people brave the weather to spend time with the Lord and the Lord honored their sacrifice by touching them with His Spirit. I want to thank Maggie Yoches and her worship team for leading us in this day of refreshing. Blessing upon them and the Emmaus team for all the work that was done behind the scenes. We are looking forward to our next seminar with Dr. Roger Sapp which is January 22-24, 2010. I know that the Lord has much more in store for us here, so come and be a part of what God is doing at Emmaus Retreat Center.
